On 12th Nov 2024 - Shri. Vikas Kharge, Additional Chief Secretary of the State Cultural Affairs Department, visited Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation, also known as Dadasaheb Phalke Film City, to review various development projects.

Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil welcomed him. During his visit, Mr. Kharge inspected the ongoing development projects within the film city, particularly focusing on the renovations of studios, outdoor shooting locations, and various sets built for different serials.

Following this, he conducted a detailed review of the activities across various departments within the corporation. Corporation Administration Committed to Providing High-Quality Services and Facilities to Production Houses - Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil


Conversation with Production Houses in Film City


Mumbai, 24: The Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation, also known as Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, is committed to providing high-quality services and facilities to the production houses that are reserved for long-term operations within the Film City. This statement was made by the Managing Director, Swati Mhase Patil.


On Thursday, a meeting was organized with representatives from production houses, where Mrs. Patil addressed the gathering. During the interaction, she assured the representatives that going forward, a review meeting would be held every three months to maintain communication with the producers. Through these interactions, the administration would understand the challenges and issues faced by the producers and take prompt action to resolve them.


The meeting discussed various topics, including parking arrangements, solid waste management, and fire safety management. Also present at the meeting were Joint Managing Director Dr. Dhananjay Sawalkar, Manager (Arts) Sachin Khamkar, Assistant Manager (Arts) Mohan Sharma, Ruchita Patil, and Chief Security Officer Mr. Mane.

Instructions to Accelerate the E-Office System


Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, 18: All office filling operations at the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation are being conducted through the E-Office system, and Joint-Managing Director Dr. Dhananjay Savalakar issued instructions today to accelerate this process. He conducted a detailed review of the E-Office system.


The E-Office system has been implemented under the guidance of Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil. A dedicated team of IT assistants has been formed to handle the work related to this system. This is helping expedite the processing of correspondence received from the government as well as communications to be sent to the government.


Dr. Savalakar held a review meeting with officials and employees of all departments to assess the current status of work. He instructed those departments with pending issues to resolve them promptly and submit reports to the administrative department. He further stated that efforts are being made to ensure that in the near future, the entire operations of the Corporation will be conducted through the E-Office system, aiming for a paperless system.

Employees Express Gratitude to Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil


Mumbai, Oct 17: The employees of the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation are now eligible for the 7th Pay Commission's recommended pay scale. The Cultural Affairs Department issued a government resolution regarding this on October 15, 2024. On this occasion, employees met with Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil to convey their gratitude.


For many years, the corporation’s employees had been deprived of the 7th Pay Commission benefits. Thus, they had been making continuous efforts to have the pay scale implemented, and their perseverance has finally paid off, giving them an unforgettable gift just before Diwali. Under this pay commission, employees will now receive the revised pay scale.


Employees also expressed their appreciation to Deputy Managing Director Dr. Dhananjay Sawalkar, Chief Administrative Officer Geeta Deshpande, Chief Finance Officer Chitralekha Khatu-Ravarane, and Special Executive Officer Sanjay Patil for their support in implementing the pay scale.

Mumbai on 31st: National and international level film festivals bring together writers, directors, producers, technicians under the concept of film bazaar to facilitate film production. The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Film Festival


The Shanghai Cooperation Organization Film Festival concluded on Tuesday at the Nehru Center Auditorium, Worli, Mumbai. Managing Director of Maharashtra Film, State and Cultural Development Corporation Dr. Avinash Dhakne was present.


An attractive stall of the corporation was set up in this festival which was going on for the last five days. The interior of the stall was designed to convey the various activities of the corporation.
