Film City's Stall at IFFI Film Bazaar Becomes a Center of Attraction - Dignitaries Visit the Stall
On Mumbai, 22 Nov 2024: Maharashtra Film City, Mumbai has set up a stall at the Film Bazaar of the Goa International Film Festival, which has become a focal point of attraction. The stall has generated significant buzz at the Film Bazaar, with several artists, directors, producers, and officials from across the world visiting and appreciating it. The stall promotes four films presented by the Maharashtra government, along with information about the Film Cell system, which grants permits for filming locations, and the "Kala Setu" portal, which serves as a dedicated platform for artists. Efforts have been made to make this stall technology-friendly, with all information available via QR codes. Film City's Stall Decorated by Artists' Visits!. Various artists and film industry members have been visiting the stall. Notable visitors include actress Sonali Kulkarni, director Ashutosh Gowariker, director Anant Mahadevan, and director Nikhil Mahajan. Additionally, Central Secretary Sanjay Jaju also visited the stall and praised the Film City’s decor. This initiative is guided by Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil, with the active participation of the Film City Corporation. Conversation with Production Houses in Film City
Mumbai, 24: The Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation, also known as Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, is committed to providing high-quality services and facilities to the production houses that are reserved for long-term operations within the Film City. This statement was made by the Managing Director, Swati Mhase Patil.
On Thursday, a meeting was organized with representatives from production houses, where Mrs. Patil addressed the gathering. During the interaction, she assured the representatives that going forward, a review meeting would be held every three months to maintain communication with the producers. Through these interactions, the administration would understand the challenges and issues faced by the producers and take prompt action to resolve them.
The meeting discussed various topics, including parking arrangements, solid waste management, and fire safety management. Also present at the meeting were Joint Managing Director Dr. Dhananjay Sawalkar, Manager (Arts) Sachin Khamkar, Assistant Manager (Arts) Mohan Sharma, Ruchita Patil, and Chief Security Officer Mr. Mane.
Instructions to Accelerate the E-Office System
Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari, 18: All office filling operations at the Maharashtra Film, Stage, and Cultural Development Corporation are being conducted through the E-Office system, and Joint-Managing Director Dr. Dhananjay Savalakar issued instructions today to accelerate this process. He conducted a detailed review of the E-Office system.
The E-Office system has been implemented under the guidance of Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil. A dedicated team of IT assistants has been formed to handle the work related to this system. This is helping expedite the processing of correspondence received from the government as well as communications to be sent to the government.
Dr. Savalakar held a review meeting with officials and employees of all departments to assess the current status of work. He instructed those departments with pending issues to resolve them promptly and submit reports to the administrative department. He further stated that efforts are being made to ensure that in the near future, the entire operations of the Corporation will be conducted through the E-Office system, aiming for a paperless system.

The Cultural Affairs Department issued a government resolution regarding this on October 15, 2024. On this occasion, employees met with Managing Director Swati Mhase Patil to convey their gratitude.
For many years, the corporation’s employees had been deprived of the 7th Pay Commission benefits. Thus, they had been making continuous efforts to have the pay scale implemented, and their perseverance has finally paid off, giving them an unforgettable gift just before Diwali. A delegation of Arunachal Pradesh Legislative Assembly Public Activities Committee visited Dadasaheb Phalke Chitragangari on 20th of January 2023. On this occasion the Managing Director of Maharashtra Film , Stage and Cultural Development Corporation , Dr. Avinash Dhakne welcomed the delegates who were present in the committee and interacted with the delegates.

On 16 Dec 2022, Finland country’s former president Mrs.Tarja Halonen, visited Dadasaheb Phalke Chitranagari (Filmcity). Former president Mrs. Tarja Halonen, was warmly welcomed by giving shawl and momento by the filmcity’s Managing Director Dr. Avinash Dhakne.
